Chennai: Women's participation definitely seems to be increasing in the Tamil Nadu Assembly elections 2026, but the electoral field is still dominated by men. According to official figures, this time 443 women are contesting the elections, while the number of male candidates is 3,579. In such a situation, it is clear that despite the increasing presence of women in politics, the goal of equality is still far away.
